Happy Day :D

Hello ladies, today is the happiest day of my life :D . Why? Because I found out that I am the lucky winner of a make-up contest held by Cosmetic Style and Georgia’s Mirror. Wohoooo :D this is the first contest that I actually won :D so I decided to show you  my entry :D.

F.O.T.D: Natural Eye

Hello ladies, I wanted to show you my everyday natural make-up look. It's a simple yet sophisticated brown smokey look, perfect for brown or hazel eyes. It makes your eyes look beautiful, without overdoing it. No liner, just mascara and both shimmery and matte colors.

To create this beautiful look I used the Too Faced Natural eye palette

 

I applied Silk Teddy on the lid, blended Velvet Revolver in the crease, a touch of Erotica on the outer half of the lid and Cocoa Puff in the outer corner, smoking it all out. As a highlight under the brow I used Heaven and to line my upper and lower lash line I used again Cocoa Puff.

L.O.T.D : Chocolate Caramel inspired

Since I was craving for something sweet, and my favorite is chocolate caramel, and because I’m on a diet and I can’t eat any :( :( :(, I decided to do a makeup look instead :). Urban Decay Book Of Shadows 3 review

Hello my lovelies, I have something exciting for you today :D. At least for me it’s exciting :D. I just turned 20 :D wohoooo :D:D and I bought myself a present :D. I’ve always wanted the Naked Palette from Urban Decay, but never got the chance to get it. And I went online to try and find it, but I couldn’t :(. Instead, I found a website called http://cosmetic-style.ro that had some of the Urban Decay palettes. So, I decided to buy the Book of shadows Vol 3, just because it has all the colours that I need, mostly for my clients. It has shades of purple and pink, shades of brown and gold, green, blue and a black :D, so I can mix and match. And a few days ago my package arrived :D. It was beautifully wrapped, the palette was intact, no scratches and I was surprised to see that, beside the palette, there was a makeup brush, courtesy of http://cosmetic-style.ro. 

Now, I’m going to try to do a review of the palette, even if I know there are millions out there, better than mine :)). My camera isn’t that great, so I found some awesome pictures online, and even swatches for you. 

                   First let me talk about the palette a bit. It’s made of hard cardboard, so it’s sturdy, your shadows won’t go anywhere :)). The pop-up part is ok, really fun to look at, it has all the New York specific things, but in my opinion, kind of useless :P, considering that the real exciting thing, the eyeshadows are in a little drawer, underneath the pop-up part. The palette comes with a card, that explains the ingredients and shows the colours, the names and everything. But I loved the description they had:

                “Who doesn’t love NY? Get 16 eyeshadows that go beyond just neutrals and brights, including SEVEN NEW complex shades that beg experimentation. Our coveted palette holds pop-up landmarks (like Lady Liberty and the token taxicab) and comes alive with real skylights! A pull-out drawer reveals two eye pencils and eye primer...because more is so NYC”

                    OMG ...the shadows :D:D:D, when I saw them, my heart skipped a beat, no joke :D, I was soooo excited to see all those beautiful colours :d, 16 to be exact, one matte (Perversion) and the others shimmery. Some of them are too shimmery, to the point where it drives me crazy to see glitter all over my face, but if you are careful and do your eyes before your face, then there’s no problem.  The most glittery are Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Uzi, Maui Wouie and Snatch. Other than that, I have no bad words for this palette. The colours are gorgeous, really pigmented and easy to blend, they stay on all day, with the primer that comes in this palette.... and girls, I have really really oily lids, and my eye makeup creases all the time, after  4 hours, and with the primer, they stayed on all day

                 So this leads me to the other things that are in the palette...the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion, absolute in love with this one and 2 24/7 Glide on eye pencils, the well known Zero and a purple one with blue hues, called Ransom. These pencils last all day, they are really easy to blend, you can smudge them, but they won’t smudge on their own throughout  the day.

All in all, I love this palette, I can’t get enough of it, I will be doing soon some makeup looks using it and hopefully I can buy some more from Urban Decay.

LOTD: Autumn

Hello my lovelies, I can’t believe how fast time passes. Summer is gone and here comes Autumn :D. My God, I love this season, it’s not too cold and not too hot, the colours are beautiful, reds, oranges, copper, gold, brown....such a large variety of colours ready for us to play with :D. This year, autumn’s color is CRIMSON, it was seen on every runaway. It is a strong, bright deep red colour, perfect for autumn. But if you’re like me and you don’t really have the courage to wear deep reds, you can always pull off the look by wearing just a scarf, or crimson nail polish, or in my case :D a make-up look :D. I tried to make it a little more wearable, because no one thinks you’re normal if they see you with bright red colours on your eyes :)). Here is the make-up look that I created :D

 I used tones of gold, brown, copper and a touch of crimson in the outer half of the lid :D, some bronzy cheeks and coral lips :D...the perfect look that I will be wearing a lot this autumn :D.

Lancome inspired

Hey all, I know, long time no talk :)), srry I've been MIA for so long, but it's summer, travelling, stuff, you know :)). So, I was reading a Cosmopolitan magazine the other day and I saw the add for the new Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes mascara and I fell in love with the make-up looks that the models had :D and I decided to do them all :D. Here is a picture of them, srry it's a small one, couldn't find a bigger one :|

And I did the silver smokey one today :D, hope you like it :D aaaaaaaand :D I used false lashes, this is my first time using real false lashes, I used to put them on in photoshop (I'm lazy I know :)) ) but today I did it and I am really proud of the result :D.
